Tap each of the boxes below to see what these commitments mean for you, the Midland taxpayer.

Enhanced Public Safety

In just the last few years, Midland has taken bold steps to make our community safer and stronger. Smarter investments in public safety mean better protection, stronger neighborhoods, and real savings for Midland families.

What does this mean for you, the taxpayer?

A safer Midland – violent crime is down more than 10% and continues to decline.

More police visibility and traffic enforcement – a proven deterrent to crime.

Stronger police–community engagement – building trust across our neighborhoods.

Expanded youth programs with MPD – keeping kids on the right path.

Lower homeowners insurance – Our firefighters’ improved national safety rating means average Midland families save $350–$500 per year.

Better Road Infrastructure

Your elected officials are delivering real results on the roads you drive every day. Through smart planning, strong partnerships, and record investments, Midland’s streets and highways are safer, smoother, and better prepared for the city’s growth.

What does this mean for you, the taxpayer?

Smoother commutes and safer streets.

Proactive maintenance – preventing costly breakdowns in the future.

Faster project delivery – allowing us to adapt to Midland's traffic needs quickly and efficiently, thanks to state, county, and MDC partnerships.

Improved quality of life – strong roads mean stronger neighborhoods, businesses, and growth.

Long-Term Water Planning

Your elected officials are planning for your future — and your children’s future — by securing safe, reliable, and affordable water well into the next century.

What does this mean for you, the taxpayer?

A stronger, smarter, and more reliable water system than ever before.

$100M+ in long-term savings – protecting your wallet.

Water security for 100+ years – ensuring Midland’s growth and your family’s future.

Peace of mind – knowing your city has planned, invested, and delivered permanent improvements.

Improved Quality of Place

Midland is not talking about “plans” — Midland is delivering hundreds of millions in real projects that families can see and use today. From world-class youth sports complexes to modern downtown spaces, from renewed parks to trail systems and aquatic facilities, this is quality of place in action — and the results are undeniable.

What does this mean for you, the taxpayer?

World-class park and recreation options – soccer and baseball fields, youth sports facilities, aquatic centers, renewed playgrounds, new trails, including the Wildcatter Trail, a thriving downtown, community events, and more.

Enhanced city services – faster permitting, maintenance, and communication, improving daily life for every resident.
